    Day 1: Darwin-Kakadu

Depart Darwin at 6:30am and travel along the Arnhem Highway, passing the major river systems and wetland regions into Kakadu National Park. Cross the South Alligator River to explore the World Heritage Area of Ubirr Rock and climb up through the ancient Aboriginal rock art galleries to the lookout for spectacular views over the surrounding wetlands. Visit the Bowali Visitor Center and continue to Cooinda to join Kakadu's Yellow Water Billabong Cruise to experience the beauty of the Kakadu wetlands. Overnight: Kakadu, Gagudju Cooinda Lodge (L)

Day 2: Exclusive - Kakadu Culture Camp

Today you will visit the traditional Aboriginal land owners from the East Alligator region of Kakadu, at the Kakadu Culture Camp. Meet your hosts at Djarradjin Billabong and transfer by boat to a secluded bush site to learn about the traditional Aboriginal way of life. Hear intriguing stories about Aboriginal history, the language and the interpretation of the seasons of the bush. Learn a few secrets of the sources and preparation of "bush tucker" and perhaps try throwing a hunting spear. Later, venture off the beaten track to Barramundi Gorge. The 1.2 mile return walk through paperbark forest leads to a small waterfall and clear plunge pool with the opportunity to swim. Late this afternoon, journey out of Kakadu National Park, viewing Jabiru Township and pausing for an evening snack (own expense) at the Bark Hut Inn before arriving in Darwin at approximately 9:30pm.
